Bringing some Italian flair to the Las Vegas Strip, The Venetian is one of the city’s most extravagant resorts.

Famous for its canals and gondolas, the sprawling resort mixes themed fun with serious gambling and gaming entertainment.

Here, Travel News Blitz’s Sam Condy gives the full lowdown on what to expect from this Las Vegas landmark.

The Casino Floor

Over 120,000 square feet in size, the massive casino floor brings grandeur to a gaming evening.

A huge selection of modern slot machines seamlessly mixes with traditional table games such as blackjack, craps and roulette.

Meanwhile, a plush poker room is kept separate and caters to those looking for casual fun, as well as seasoned pros.

High-limit rooms are available for big spenders, but the majority of the floor is geared towards a welcoming, all-player environment.

Sportsbook

Operated by William Hill, The Venetian’s sportsbook is a modern facility designed for the serious sports fan.

Giant screens adorn the walls, while comfortable seating allows you to take in all the action in style.

Like most of the big Vegas locations, betting is made easy with both in-person counters and digital kiosks.

With table service drinks and a wide view of every game, it’s one of the more stylish sportsbooks on the Strip.

Dining options

The Venetian caters to every palate, with more than 30 restaurants on offer across the complex.

High-end options include CUT by Wolfgang Puck and the ever-popular Tao Asian Bistro, while Yardbird serves up southern comfort food with a high-flying twist.

For more casual eats, cafés and pizzerias are scattered throughout the resort, making it easy to refuel between gaming sessions.

As with most things here, the dining experiences are a step above the standard Strip offerings.

Entertainment

Entertainment at The Venetian is equally diverse, with live music and stand-up comedy regularly on offer.

The resort has hosted everything from classic rock concerts to long-running residencies, with venues designed for both intimate performances and arena-style crowds.

Madame Tussauds Las Vegas is right on-site for a tourist-friendly diversion, while Tao Nightclub regularly brings in big-name DJs.

Between shows, street performers in the Grand Canal Shoppes keep the energy buzzing throughout the day.

Hotel and Pool

The Venetian is an all-suite resort, with even the standard rooms offering huge spaces compared to typical Vegas hotels.

The Italian-inspired suites feature sunken living rooms, marble bathrooms and decor that makes you feel like royalty during your stay.

The pool deck is equally impressive, spanning multiple levels with cabanas, daybeds, and cocktail service available throughout the day.

Nightlife

When the sun goes down, The Venetian doesn’t hold back on nightlife.

Tao Nightclub remains the hotel's main after-dark attraction, bringing top DJs and a lively, party atmosphere to the resort.

For those seeking something a little more low-key, bars like The Dorsey and Rosina offer craft cocktails and a stylish setting for late-night conversations.
